Research Notes

Genes Reunited - checked
LDS A couple of the christenings give Mary Bartram as the mother. Unable to find William Ball and Mary Bartram's marriage, though there is a marriage of  William Ball and Mary Bartram in 1693 at Turvey, Bedford, Bedfordshire. It is a long way away, and it is hard to imagine the marriage producing the children above 30 years later. But it is an unlikely coincidence if it is not.
Willliam Ball christened in Ashwell is a bit old to be Alice's grandfather, and his parents are John and Alice, so it looks like him. William is the only child of this marriage in the LDS
LDS doesn't seem to have a likely marriage for John and Alice. FHO has nothing before 1702
Also there seems to be no likely birth for Mary Bartram in LDS
