The extensime Pateman genealogy here  comes from my family (Merrill and Glenis), Jeffrey Orford-Perkins, and the Latter Day Saints site FamilySearch
Checked against, and data added from June Hayhurst's tree on Genes ReUnited

Research Notes

Genes Reunited checked for William
Stephen Wilkins GR tree gave William Pateman and Mary Keep's ancestors
John Belsey's tree on Gene Reunited has William born 1635
LDS has a pedigree file for John  submitted by Mark Hutchings PO Box 3062 St Marys South NSW 2760
LDS has a possible sister for John - Elizabeth Patman, christened  in Melbourn, six miles east of Steeple Morden on 10 Aug 1662. No  other children, no marriage, nothing for William
Not sure how strong the evidence for Mary Keep is
LDS has the marriage of William Patnum and Mary Keep 1660 Old Warden, Bedfordshire (also given as William Batnum). So Mary Keep looks a 50% chance at best
Old Warden is about ten miles W of  Steeple Morden
