Belfast
Positioned in the tranquil countryside about three
miles from the
South East corner of Lough Neagh, Aghalee is a village
which
gives a relaxed and peaceful ambience. It straddles the main road
between the
provincial towns of Lurgan and Antrim. Initially it gives an impression
of
being somewhat remote or "off the beaten track", it is infact very
well placed for commuting to all parts of Northern Ireland. Within
three miles
you can find the M1 motorway, the main A26 trunk road and two railway
stations
on different lines. There are rail connections to Belfast, Londonderry,
Portrush and the North Coast; and if you travel to Lisburn the
Enterprise to Dublin can be used.So while retaining its
country
atmosphere it is well placed for commuting, a fact that is becoming
increasingly recognized in its development.
