The evidence for Thomas Prickett being Charles' father is the will of  Richard Prickett Ironfounder (below).  We have a Thomas who had a son Charles, who is about the right age to be our Charles.
It is all we have, but would have to rate him 30% at best, given the proliferation of Pricketts, and the poor records in London at the time

of the birth, marriages and deaths in London 1538-1812.
Heigh Presto I think I have located Charles Richards Prickett's family all being baptised in St James Clerkenwell,
Part of Islington, Middlesex.  There are at least 7 children
Sarah Prickett born 2 Jun 1764
Richard Prickett born 28 Sep 1865
Ann Prickett born Dec 1766
Charles Richards born 18 May 1768
William Prickett born 7 Oct 1770
Frances Maria Hardres Prickett born 13 April 1771
          Robert Thomas Prickett born 5 Dec 1775 christened Jan 3 1776 
I have not found the marriage to Maria Jane, but Robert and his father were both buried at St John Zachary in the City.

The image of Charles Richard Prickett's burial on 29 June 1804, aged 64, in St John Zachary, City of London, also shows a burial for Mary Prickett on 29 April 1804. Mary's entry seems to be labelled ïn the vault". Both are from Noble St.
The marriage of  Charles Prickett and Mary Hornby was on 12 June 1763, St James Clerkenwell
