Acknowledgements

Most of the material on the Martins comes from Glenis Crocker, with help from Robyn Lawther and Helen Millward. Glenis's material prepared for the Martin reunion she organised has been quoted directly here. They have traced the family back to the 16th century, by a lot of detective work on old wills.

Research Notes

There is a Nathaniel Cory marrying Sarah Wright in Harpole 07 Feb 1668 (only six miles south of Teeton and Spratton)
There are two Nathaniel christenings in Harpole
    12 May 1644 - Tho and Eliz
    09 Sep 1659 - John and Eliz
There is a plausible Sarah Wright born 09 Jan 1640 Kettering, parents Thome and Margerie (Kettering is 12 mile NE of Harpole)
So how likely are these people Nathaniel from Harpole (50%). Sarah from Kettering (50% of 50%=25%)
