Research Notes

Notes on Robert Rowter's page show how we got to this page.

Looking for George (m 1633) in OPC there are two baptism candidates
(1)  21-Aug 1602 son of John
(2) 25-Apr 1606 son of William
As discussed on Robert Rowter's page there are two George's marrying, one in 1626 and one in 1633, and the 1633 one in more likely to be ours, though the 1906 one could have just married in 1926. Still perhaps only 40%.

There is only one Browne baptism in the OPC register, but it is about the right time Jylian, daughter of George, bapt  14 0ct 1627 (register is from 1538-1798. So george would be a rough punt for Chrystian's father (40%).. This is in effect supported by the fact that the only entry found in Cornwall wide searches in LDS and FHO only yeild one result, the same marriage - no baptisms anywhere

Thanks to St Gerran's OPC Bill O'Reilly where all this good stuff came from. There is now a graveyard index to check out
