Research Notes

Nicholas' parents?
We have mined LDS right back to a parent John Greet born about 1570 in Saint J on R. At this stage it gets murky.
LDS has, all in  Saint Just In Roseland,
        (1) birth abt 1571, marrying "Mrs Greet" abt 1596 - Mrs Greet b abt 1575
        (2) christened 23 Jun 1581, father Griffi Greet, no mother listed
        (3) christened 26 Jun 1600, father John Greet, no mother listed
        (4) marrying 04 DEC 1601 Joan Bashan
IE  we seem to have two John Greets, one born abt 1571 marrying in abt 1586, and the other christened in 1581 marrying Joan Bashan in 1601. Either could be the parenr(s) of our Nicholas (born  1608). Up until here we have been tracing what looks like a clearcut line in Saint Just In Roseland with no ambiguity.
I was stumbling around in the dark. Bob and John obviously have gone further. Go with their view - see above. It fits pretty well with my stuff such as it is (Les Rowley)

Wilmot May -  A christening in Ruan Major is possible, but a long way awa
