Jane has a very plausible family being born in St Cleer at the right
time (parents John Stephens and
Elizabeth Hambly). Unfortunately there is another sibling where she
should fit.
There are lots of John and
Elizabeth Stephens marrying in Cornwall at the time. A search 1740-60
gives 40 his in the LDS, but none in Linkinhorne. No-one has parents
for her in Ancestry
