wonderful response to a query on Colen Tippet's baptism. She found
us
Ann Bettison
Her response to a later query whether she had anything on
Elizabeth's
parents was as follows: I think they were John Wakeford
and
Grace but I have no proof as yet. They were producing in St
Mawgan at that time but I have not got that far back in the
register
yet. The LDS has the following children christened in St Mawgan
for
the couple Susan suggests
Breget 01 Nov 1686
Jane 07 Jul 1689
William 20 Dec 1673
so rate John and Grace a 50% chance An email from Hilary Picton
supplies another child to this marriage, Grace baptised 9 April
1693.
Just looking at the dates, John and Grace could easily be
grandparents
Research Notes
An email from Cathy Rhodes has
Samuel Harris marrying Elizabeth Pomery about 1710 with a similar
list
of children to the ones above However all I can find in the
LDS
or OPC databases is the Mawgan in Pyder marriage to Elizabeth
Wakeford.
Mawgan in Pyder is 3 miles WNW of St Columb
The children's baptisms do not give Elizabeth's maiden name
