After Francis' death Jane ran the Anvil Inn. Her customers seem to like rum and food in equal  measure (source Bruce Peckett)
In 1794/95 Jane was paid £1/1/- for providing the Four-and-Twenty's dinner and £1 for rum at the Anvil Inn. In 1797 the dinner cost £1/6/- and the run £1. In 1799 the dinner cost £1/1- and the rum 14s.
