Research Notes

LDS has marriage and children. Not sure how we link Ann as the daughter of James and Mary. LDS only seems to have James and Mary having another daughter Sarah in 1721. Though there are no other Greens being  christened in Ashwell. Several correspondents have supplied the family and the link between Ann and her parents.
Looking in LDS for William Briant christening in 1716, the only one in Hertford about that time is in Hemel Hempstead, about 20 miles SW of Ashwell. The family is
parents
:   Luke and Elizabeth.
Their children were:
    Luke
christening: 14 Nov 1708 Hemel Hempstead  (married Susannah Dean on 28 Dec.1739 Hemel Hempstead),
    Mary b.1710,
    Elizabeth
christening: 01 Jan 1712 Hemel Hempstead  (married John Bazely on 28 Sep 1738 Hemel Hempstead),
    William
christening: 19 Apr 1716 Hemel Hempstead
    Anne
christening: 06 Dec 1717 Hemel Hempstead..
I have an email  from  Jeanette Ellis pointing out  the above  family. She  has no hard evidence, but the fit is excellent, and there are no other candidates in LDS. Only doubts are the twenty mile move, and the fact that records that early have lots of gaps.
